I lived in Perryton in the 1960's, going to South Elementary and Junior

I did enjoy the trip around your website, but have another request for
any Perryton resident. My son, Yancy Paul, was in Booker this past weekend
at a dog trial. The Perryton newspaper came out and took pictures for the
paper. Would someone contact me if you would be willing to send me a copy of
that article? I would also like to contact the newspaper, but don't know
their name either. The email link to the Chamber of Commerce doesn't work
and that email was returned. I'm a transplanted Texan living in Oklahoma.
Thanks!

Some of my fondest memories of my childhood are based on things that happend
to me in Perryton. My youngest brother was born there in 1962 I believe. We
moved soon after. But the wheat fields and oil fields still fill my memories
at times. My first pheasent hunt and dove hunt that I remember were there. I
am now 40 and have taken my wife back but not my children. I hope to in the
near future.

I was born in Perryton "several" years ago. My dad worked at the Hansford
station for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline. We moved to Calif. later. After I
was married and lived in several different states, my husband was employed
in the oil field in KS. and he made business trips to Perryton. It will
always be a special town to me.

anyone knows the where abouts of Sandra Haggerty (last known in Galveston)
please let me know. She was part of the family of Ohmes and Haggerty. Hope I

It was a hard adjustment for me because I have lived in large cities since
graduating and leaving Perryton. I have lived in Montgomery,AL, Hawaii, El
Paso,Dallas, and St Louis. Now you can see why this was an adjustment. I love
being HOME again though. Keep up the good work.

I am still a relatively new member of this community, but already feel
right at home thanks to wonderful people all around this area. I moved here
with my husband, J.W. Hardy, and my children in June of 1998 and enjoyed
every moment of it. I think this is a wonderful place to live and I am
looking forward to many great years. In addition I am proud to be a part of
the Hardy Family, especially of Jean and John Hardy of Perryton, who have
been very supportive in our start of a new life after the retirement of J.W.
from the Army. I now established my own business (Micha's Desktop), trying
to help out everybody, who needs to get something printed, no matter how
small the order may be. I invite everybody to my web site which I created at
www.Micha.Hardy.com telling a
little more about my family and my business.

I lived in perryton as a small child. My father was in the oilfield. My very
first memories of life were in perryton. We lived in a house that was
attached to a mud wharehouse this must have been in about 1960 or 1961 some
of your folks may remember the fire around that time. it burnt down our
house. our dog was killed and all we had was lost. Some kids from across a
field had been playing with matches in the wharehouseand caught it on fire.
As i say I was very small at the time and my brothers took me to see
something they called the horse? I cant remember what they ment by this but
on the way they convinced me to pee on an electric fence. thats one you wont
forget evan after all these years. I am now 41 and i live in enid okla and
work as a firefighter. Imagine that. Hope things are good in perryton I
often think of my time there as a youth. sometime when im headed to Colorado
to snow ski Ill stop by as I havent been back there in almost 40 years now.
best wishes Anthony Armstrong.

This web-site of Perryton is a great communication piece. Want to say hello
to Randy Bates out in sunny California & to thank him for responding to my

I'm not sure if the last name is spelled correctly or not. Anyway, Chris &
